Estée Lauder Companies Unveils Location for New Fragrance Atelier in Paris

The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has announced that its new Fragrance Atelier will be housed at 14-18 Rue Volney in the prestigious 1st arrondissement of Paris. Set to open in 2025, the Atelier will anchor ELC’s newly minted “La Maison des Parfums,” a hub dedicated to driving innovation, collaboration, and craftsmanship in the luxury fragrance category.

A New Era of Fragrance Innovation

The Fragrance Atelier will occupy the top floor of La Maison des Parfums and feature co-creation spaces, evaluation rooms, and trend analysis hubs. These facilities aim to enhance the synergy between ELC’s fragrance experts, partner perfumers, and ingredient suppliers. Stéphane de La Faverie, Executive Group President of ELC, emphasized the Atelier’s strategic importance: “This exciting new center of fragrance excellence offers proximity to our corporate enterprise network and fragrance partners, enabling accelerated innovation and speed to market.”

La Maison des Parfums will also include marketing, creative, and product development teams, consolidating ELC’s Paris-based operations under one roof.

Inspired by French Craftsmanship

The Atelier’s design will blend elements of French savoir-faire with ELC’s fragrance heritage, paying homage to Paris as the epicenter of luxury perfumery. The space aims to foster creativity while enabling efficient commercialization of new scents. Sumit Bhasin, Senior Vice President of Global Fragrance Innovation, stated: “The Atelier will strengthen our end-to-end fragrance innovation by complementing our global value chain footprint. It deepens collaborations within Paris’s vibrant ecosystem while driving greater speed and agility.”

Building on a Legacy

ELC’s journey in luxury fragrances began in 1953 with the launch of Estée Lauder’s first perfume. Today, the company’s portfolio includes iconic brands like TOM FORD, Jo Malone London, Le Labo, and Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle. The addition of the Atelier marks a significant step in ELC’s strategy to further cement its dominance in the high-growth fragrance sector.

As consumer demand for niche and luxury fragrances continues to rise, the Fragrance Atelier is poised to be a pivotal asset. With its strategic location and cutting-edge facilities, ELC is positioned to continue delivering exceptional scents that resonate globally.

La Maison des Parfums is expected to open its doors in 2025.
