Chris "Classic" Davis, founder of Savoir Faire Fragrances, has launched the Black Nose Lab in Atlanta's West Midtown, the first centralized retail space for Black-owned fragrance brands.
Opened February 1, 2025, during Black Fragrance Week, the venue showcases over 20 different Black-owned perfume brands. This space serves both as a showroom and manufacturing facility for Davis's Savoir Faire Fragrances, which currently offers 12 different scents (and two new releases planned for 2025.)
Davis, who transitioned from a successful music production career that included work on Transformers and the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise, established Savoir Faire Fragrances in 2017 after nine months of development at The Gathering Spot.
The brand gained significant visibility in 2018 when Davis's response to an H&M advertising controversy went viral, featuring his crown logo design that became a symbol of Black excellence in luxury goods.
The Black Nose Lab, located at 644 Antone St NW, is the newest solution to the limited retail presence of Black-owned fragrance brands in major U.S. cities.
